Check-In is anytime after 2:00 p.m. – For security purposes all guests checking in will be asked to provide a valid government photo ID.

Check-Out is anytime before 11:00 a.m.

Reservations made through this website will be confirmed via email.

Groups of up to 9 single persons can be accommodated, with the minimum group booking being 6 persons. Group pricing is on a case by case basis. Please contact us for more details.

Cancellations due to any circumstances (including weather, flight delays or cancellation, sickness, etc) made less than 2 calendar days prior to the arrival date are non refundable. Cancellations made prior to 2 calendar days from the arrival date are not charged a cancellation fee.

Early departures are acceptable. However, guests will be charged for the cost of the following day’s booking.


A full hotel rental is accepted based on availability. Full hotel bookings are for a minimum of 2 days. To arrange a full hotel rental please contact us. A deposit of 50% is required for full hotel rentals. The deposit is fully refundable up to 30 days prior to the arrival date. Cancellations received after the 30 day grace period are non-refundable.


Long term stays are defined as 30 days or more. Rent is by the day, but at a greatly discounted rate. To learn more about long term rentals in our Granada, Nicaragua hotel, contact us.


Rooms have maximum capacities that can not be exceeded. Single rooms are maximum 1 person. Double rooms are maximum 2 persons. Family rooms are maximum 4 persons.

Hotel de Sonrisas is a children friendly establishment, but children under 14 years old are not to be left unattended while on the premises. Upon request the hotel will arrange for a trusted, on-site babysitter.

Master Card, Visa, American Express JCB, Discover and Diners Club are accepted. Accommodations are to be paid in full upon check in. A 15% IVA and 2% INTUR tax (for a total of 17%) is applied to the room price.

Smoking is not permitted in the rooms.

Being a small hotel, we are not able to make exceptions to these policies. We recommend that guests purchase travel insurance with Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) coverage.
